This hands-on weekend
workshop is an enjoyably fast-paced, technically informative event,
guiding participants through the basics while opening up new possibilities
for artists and photographers of all levels. Cichon will explain
and demonstrate the use of color mediums, and provide info and
tips about pigments, blending and glazing, controlling the drying
time, mixed media, archival practices, finishing, and lots more.
The curriculum includes hand coloring personal photographs.
Get your questions answered by an experienced photographic artist
with an intimate knowledge of hand coloring who will help serious
amateur and professional photographers and artists interested
in learning the basic techniques of traditionally hand coloring
a digital photograph. Participants can also bring their own chemically
processed prints. The workshop includes experimentation with canvas,
sheer paper, watercolor, coated RC paper and metal using oils,
pencils, pastel, chalk, spot pens and metallics. There will also
be a discussion about presentation and preservation. Each class
is customized to make the best use of time.
Artists of all levels will come away from this workshop with fresh
insights to feed their creative expression. All participants will
receive student starter kits and literature packets.
