This workshop delves
into the raw processing combo of Adobe Bridge CS3 and Adobe Camera
Raw 4 in Photoshop CS3. In Bridge we will go over strategies for
the initial organization of the images from a shoot, including
batch renaming, the application of ratings, labels and keywords,
and filtering images to display only specific subsets based on
chosen criteria. In Camera Raw, every feature in the eight tabbed
panels of the dialog will be explored in depth and fully explained
to help you get the most from your raw files. Speeding up your
raw processing by taking advantage of batch processing capabilities
and using saved presets will also be discussed, as will specialized
techniques only available with raw files such as Dual Process
Raw and High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging will also be demonstrated.
Raw file archiving issues and the benefits of the Digital Negative
(DNG) raw format will also be discussed. The raw workflow in Bridge/Camera
Raw will be compared to the features in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom
to help you decide if using Lightroom would benefit your workflow.
