Travel
to Mesilla, NM
Most air travel is
through the El Paso International Airport located less than one
hour south of Las Cruces. The City of Las Cruces is located at
the intersection of Interstates 10 (east-west) and 25 (north-south)
in southern New Mexico. Mesilla is located on highway 28, minutes
south of Las Cruces. The immediate vicinity includes the Chihauhuan
Desert, the magnificent Organ Mountains and the Rio Grande River.
Be prepared to be asked at our local restaurants, "Do you
want your chiles red or green?"

The greater Las Cruces/Mesilla
area offers numerous hotels. Plan to arrive the evening before
the start of the workshop. Let us know if you need a ride from
your hotel to the facility.
The Comfort

Will you need a car? Not necessarily. The Mesilla Digital Imaging
Workshops facility is within walking distance of several motels,
restaurants and touring and shopping in the Mercado District and
Historic Old Mesilla. Transportation will be provided for you
for distant location shoots that are included in some workshops.
Local Bus Service
Local bus transportation by Roadrunner Transport between Mesilla
and the City of Las Cruces is also available daily except Sundays.
Taxi service is also available.
Airport Shuttle Service
A shuttle service is available for $88 round trip from the El
Paso, TX airport to Mesilla area motels. Reservations are required.

to Bring
- Samples
of your work for review, as this is a component of most workshops
- A
notebook
- For
shooting workshops, a camera and lens. Some cameras will be
available for your use.
- Comfortable
clothing, sufficient cover for intense sun and high summer temperatures
in the desert; locals dress in what is called "New Mexico
